.During the 18th century , cord making was a necessary occupation for all levels of society , and for this a tool known as a "lucet" was used. Lucet made of beech , wool and full instructions enclosed for £3.50 all including postage.
Weaving on sticks produces long thin lengths of fabric which can be made into belts , edgings , trimmings and tiebacks . The fabric produced is a weft-faced weave , where the warp ends are entirely covered by the weft. Two , three , five or even seven sticks can be used. The museum pack includes 7 sticks and full instructions @ £3
